Are there any good tips to keep my left arm straighter during golf drives?

August 30th, 2010

My golf swing is sometimes inconsistent and I believe it’s because my left elbow hinges too much on the backswing…When I’m at the top of my swing the club isn’t facing the target or parallel to the ground but down at the ground because my elbow is hinged. I feel though I don’t get a full swing if I keep my left arm straight. Any good drills I can do that will help me correct my swing and get a comfortable smooth feel while keeping my arm straight? I shoot in the 90-100 range with a swing speed of 95-105 and I drive the ball 250ish yards. My driver is the most inconsistent club in the bag.
