im 17 years old and a 5 handicap. i've lost about 30yds of distance off the tee over the last year?

and distance every else and i’ve heard its because i cant keep my lower body still so my hips and legs move around a lot which causes me to lose my coil (power). does anyone have any drills or anything i can do to maintain stillness in my lower body throughout the golf swing? or any tips?

Looking for a Good Golf Drill?

I have a problem in my swing. On my downswing, my arms move before my hips turn….apparently the hips should start the downswing….any suggestions? Looking for a good drill to help me out.
my problem is your point 3. I had a lesson and the instructor mentioned that by arms were starting the downswing as opposed to my hip turn.

Why am I moving so much in my golf swing?

I have been playing a lot of golf over the past summer and have yet to achieve any substantially lower scores. This is partly due to inconsistency in my golf shots due to a habit I have of sliding my hips and moving my head on the start of my downswing. Are there any tips or drills to help cure this?

Arms getting too far ahead during my golf swing?

i have a problem with a slight slice…i think its because my arms are getting too far ahead (maybe my hips rotate too early)…but i also dont keep my head down consistently…if i do, will this keep my hips from opening too soon, then will keep my arms in sync with rest of my body?

My backswing is ok but when I begin to swing forward my hips are always faster than my hands which opens up the golf club face and causes pretty bad slice, anyone know any drills or tips to fix this?

why can't I move my hips, then my shoulders in my golf down swing?

Ok, I know the downswing sequence – shift to left foot, hips,
shoulders, arms, hands and clubhead. I guess in the split second, it’s hard to execute this. I am have tried simpler things like swing from the ground up. But, no luck. Also, my usual slice move has my shldrs and hips moving together at the top – result a slice. Any suggestions or drills?

How do I use legs in golf swing, can anyone help me?

I am an above average golfer in my opinion and have a 10.4 handicap with an average drive of 240 yards with a draw, and I am always attempting to improve my golf swing whether it is through magazines, reading on-line, or watching television. The main thing I notice is that golfers are always talking about generating power through legs and hips. Whenever I attempt to use more legs and hips I either move forward and hit off the heel, or get a major slice. My current swing I just keep a large majority of weight on my back foot for as long as I possibly can. I know that this can result in duck hooks, but I only get about one of these at most a round. Please offer any advise or drills so I can figure out how to use more hips and legs.
